Anti-diabetic Activity of Terminalia catappa Bark Extracts in Alloxan Induced Diabetic Rats

The present study was carried out to evaluate the antidiabetic activity of Terminalia catappa bark extracts in alloxan induced diabetic rats for 21 days period of study. The bark extract at a dose of (400mg/kg) exhibited significant anti-hyperglycemic activity and improvement in parameters like body weight and lipidprofile which shows significant p<0.001, on compared with normal control rats during treatment period
