Energy obtained from the sun can be converted in to useful work in many ways. Out of which most efficient method to convert cold water in to hot water for domestic purposes is by means of passing working fluid water through the flat plate collectors. Various research works are made as a mean to improve the performance of solar flat plate collector. But obtaining of higher temperature of water and higher flow rate of water at the outlet is still a mystery. In this work we gone through three different flow rates and suggested the economical one for domestic purposes. In addition experiments are made in conventional series flat plate collector and new mixed mode series flat plate collector. Experimental investigation on such new mixed mode collector had already been made as a mean to prove its performance with unit flow rate.
