Privacy Preservation against Traffic Analysis in Wireless Network by HEF on GEV?s

Sridhar Kulkarni, Sharavana K

Privacy preservation is most critical issue to address in the multi hop wireless network(MWN). The fact that open air transmission of data in the wireless network makes the data vulnerable to attack by the malicious adversary.Network coding has the potentials to protect the traffic analysis attack since coding / mixing operation is encouraged at intermediate nodes of the wireless network. However, the simple deployment of network coding cannot achieve the goal once enough packets are collected by the adversaries, in this paper, we propose a novel network coding based privacy-preserving scheme against traffic analysis in multi-hop wireless networks. With homomorphic encryption function(HEF) on Global Encoding Vectors (GEVs)[4], the proposed scheme offers two significant privacypreserving features, packet flow un traceability and message content confidentiality.
